Living tips of Conscious

In a previous article i said that conscious living is the art of living the moment instead of thinking about the past or worrying about the future.

When the conscious living concept became popular many people who write about happiness started to ask people to think consciously so that they become happy.


Those people who gave such advice supported their argument by a very logical concept. If we only feel bad because of bad emotions that are related to the past or the future then certainly we can become happy if we focused on the present moment.


The concept itself is 100 percent correct but when it comes to applying it most people fail!


In this article I will tell you about conscious living tips that will help you understand conscious living better and that will enable you to live a better life.


Many people assume that they are talking to robots and not humans when they give advice such as “just stop thinking about the future” as if humans have got push buttons that can enable them to stop thinking about something right away.

Of course if you managed to stop worrying about the future and thinking about the past then you will become happier but the problem is that you can’t do this with a click of a button.


Sam was very worried about the exam he has to take in three days and as a result he felt really bad. Sam tried to think consciously and live in the moment but that never worked simply because his mind refused to let go of an important event such as an upcoming exam.


In this case Sam wasn’t aware of the fact that his worrying was no more than a signal his mind was using to motivate him to study better!


In my book, The ultimate guide to getting over depression i said that many of the emotions we experience every day serve the purpose of motivating us to do certain actions.


In Sam's case the action desired by his subconscious mind was to let him study well.


The right way to live consciously

The right way to live consciously is to respond to the messages your mind sends you so that you can force it to think about the present as a result of not having anything to worry about.

our minds were designed to forget about completed tasks and to worry about unfinished business. 


Unless you learn how to deal with the unfinished businesses in your life you might not be able to experience true conscious living.


if you are sad because something bad happened in the past then do your best to reassure your mind that you wont let it happen again and you will find yourself not thinking about the past anymore.
